Connecting the dots of writing and the arts creates harmonies that everybody can play a part in. As a photographer, I thrive in capturing the moments that artists feel vulnerable and in their element. As a writer, I translate those moments into words. My experience as a music-journalist and photographer carries me to work and create alongside musicians while expressing their work, speaking their truths, and supporting their careers. As a musician myself, I understand not only the passion but the intricacies that come along with the job. I aspire to create a space where other artists can feel confident and open up about the intimacy of their work—whether through a photograph or a paragraph—and bridge that sentiment to others. I also strive to provide knowledgeable insight into the inner workings of the music industry in a way that is accessible and informative for everyone. Everyone should be able to read about their favorite artist (or their favorite artists’ favorite artist) and feel inspired and understood.My job is to find those stories and make it happen.
